Agent Orange on The Cob? Terrorists To Carpet-Bomb Heartland With 'Nam-Era Chem

America's farmlands to be carpet-bombed with Vietnam-era Agent Orange chemical if Dow petition approved

(NaturalNews) A key chemical of one of the most horrifying elements of the Vietnam War -- Agent Orange -- may soon be unleashed on America's farmlands. Considered by world nations to be a "Weapon of Mass Destruction" (WMD), Agent Orange was dropped in the millions of gallons on civilian populations during the Vietnam War in order to destroy foliage and poison North Vietnamese soldiers. The former president of the Vietnamese Red Cross, Professor Nhan, described it as, "...a massive violation of human rights of the civilian population, and a weapon of mass destruction."

A key chemical in that weapon -- 2,4-D -- is just months away from being dropped on agricultural land across the United States. Dow AgroSciences, which along with DuPont and Monsanto is heavily invested in genetically engineered crops, has petitioned the U.S. government to deregulate a variety of GE corn that's resistant to 2,4-D, which comprises 50% of the recipe of Agent Orange.

NaturalNews broke this story yesterday and published the details:
http://www.naturalnews.com/034492_D...

If the petition is approved by Washington, it would turn America's corn fields into chemical warfare zones targeted for mass pesticide poisoning with 2,4-D chemicals. The corn, of course, would be immune to 2,4-D, so it would uptake the chemical and transport it right into the structure of the corn kernels, creating "Agent Orange corn bombs" that would be chemically unleashed when consumed by human beings.

This is just the latest example of how industrial chemical giants and GMO companies of the world are committing acts of genocide against innocents. The introduction of 2,4-D-resistant GE corn is, essentially, an act of war against humanity.

This is what they are putting in our food, this is what they want to do to YOU...

UFO Mass-Sighting Event SOLVED

It turns out that what you are seeing there is the spectacular failure of a Soyuz rocket launch intended to put a Russian military satellite into orbit. The rocket failed during its third stage and the satellite plummeted back to Earth impacting just outside the city of Novosibirsk.

There is a short news brief here.

This disaster comes just days after a Soyuz rocket delivered 3 people to the International Space Station.

Santa Perishes in Yule Log Sparked Inferno on Christmas Morning

What terrible irony. I first heard about the loss of life in the Christmas morning blaze and thought that was bad enough. These things are terrible on any day, but Christmas fires really put a stake in my heart. Then to hear that the grandfather had been the Santa at Saks Fifth Avenue, it seemed like a cruel joke. And now to hear that the fire probably started as a result of hot embers form a yule log in the fire place just seems too sad to even be possible. Such a tragedy.

Yule log embers may have sparked fire that killed Madonna Badger's parents, 3 kids

The fatal Connecticut fire that killed a fashion-marketing exec’s three children and parents was possibly sparked by embers from disposed fireplace ashes, The Post has learned.

The ashes from the family’s Christmas Eve yule log may have been still smoldering when they were left outside the 100-year-old, $1.7 million, Long Island Sound-view Victorian, said a source.

The wind may have blown the embers into the old, wooden building, sparking the blaze.

The already tragic story took another heartbreaking twist today as details emerged about how the oldest victim, Lomer Johnson, of Southbury, Conn. — a retiree who worked as jolly St. Nick — tried in vain to save his granddaughter.

"He had the little girl with him," Stamford Fire Chief Antonio Conte told reporters yesterday.

Johnson, 71, was outside, face down on a small, jutting roof. The child was just inside the window.

"I think he had his granddaughter and he tried to get her out," the chief said.

It was not clear which of the three little girls who perished in the flames he'd been trying to rescue.

Johnson and his wife, Pauline, were staying in the turreted, under-renovation home visiting their daughter, former Calvin Klein art director Madonna Badger, and Badger’s three daughters, 10-year-old Lily and 7-year-old twins Sarah and Grace.

The other two girls were found on the second floor, one floor down from all their bedrooms, the chief told reporters.

Pauline, the grandmother, was found on a staircase hallway between the second and third floors.

Of the seven in the house, only Badger, a founding partner at the top-tier branding firm Badger & Winters, and her companion, contractor Michael Borcina, survived the 5 a.m. blaze.

"If You Fire a Gun, We Will Find You"

New technology is now available that will allow police to pinpoint location and other details of gunshots in their communities. Several cities have been testing the technology in a few forms, and it is due to roll out now in several more cities of the midwest under the "ShotSpotter" brand name.

First tested in the 90's, the technology has been plagued with problems such as false-positives, but the latest brand appears to be able to "learn" from it's own mistakes over time to make it continually more accurate. Another major drawback is the high cost of these systems, though Federal grants have allowed the technology to be fielded in many cities for testing.

Personally, I am on the fence about this technology. I don't see anything here that might be construed as a violation of the Constitution, but reading through the news article I can't help but feel oppressed by it's Orwellian nature. Of course, we would all like to see dangerous and reckless criminals off the streets, but as with any new law or technology we should be wary of ways in which it could be misused, especially in the hands of ever more draconian corporate-sponsored police regimes.

Sniper Detectors Coming to America's Heartland

Gunshots ring out in the dead of night, and not a single person reports it. Yet police know exactly where the shots came from, even before they arrive on the scene.

It sounds like a scene from The Minority Report, but it's real. A new technology called ShotSpotter enables law enforcement officials to precisely and instantaneously locate shooters, and it has been quietly rolling out across America. From Long Island, N.Y., to San Francisco, Calif., more than 60 cities in the U.S. have been leveraging ShotSpotter to make their streets safer.

Here is a presentation of another brand of similar gunshot detection technology:

Police Torture Tourist to Death, No One Charged

62-year-old Nick Christie was visiting Florida as a tourist from Ohio. He was picked up on a drunken disorderly charge and sent to jail. Pictures and depositions appear to support allegations that this man was tied down naked, gagged, and pepper-sprayed for hours until he died of a heart failure. The death was ruled a homicide, but no criminal charges were ever filed and no internal disciplinary action was ever taken. The DA's office cleared the department of any wrongdoing.

U.S. Troops Keeping Your Heroin Safe

Under the Taliban, the cultivation of the opium poppy was strictly forbidden. Today the crop is protected and growth is encouraged by U.S. and western powers. The opium poppy is the base for a number of drugs, most notably heroin, which is making a strong resurgence on the streets of America and in our schools. The majority of drugs stockpiled in Afghanistan are held in two provinces controlled by western forces, and NATO units profit directly by imposing a tax on the poppy crops.

BREAKING: Obama Opens Borders For the Holidays!

The White House will announce new “open borders” policy with Mexico and Canada.  ”All are welcome!”
Sources inside the White House say that the Obama Administration is planning on announcing “a new, bold, creative approach” to the border problem with Mexico.  ”We are going to let everyone in that wants to come in.  It’s our little Holiday present to the world,” said a source close to an aide to a White House represenative.
The White House will reportedly keep the borders open for at least sixty days and if the experiment goes well, the President may sign an executive order keeping the borders open indefinitely.
“The U.S. government will save an enormous amount of money when we eliminate the Border Patrol and open the borders.  The Republicans are always wanting to get rid of government agencies and the President finally heard them… He’s getting rid of the Border Patrol, and the border,” a Senior Adviser told WWN.
The source told WWN that the White House asked demographic experts from our nation’s top universities to determine how many people could “comfortably” live in the United States without straining resources.   The experts – from Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and The Citadel – concluded that the U.S. could accommodate 700 million people right now.  ”But in ten years, with modern housing technology and better distribution of natural resources and food, the U.S. could  handle over 2 billion people.
The Administration feels that an extra 300-400 million people will revive the economy and lift up the housing market.  ”We’re going to need more of everything – houses, roads, schools, offices.  Our economy will be on fire,” said a source in the Administration.
Reports are that the White House will see how many come across the border in the first month and then calculate when the country will hit the 700 million mark.  ”We think it may happen in October 2012, but we are not sure.  But when we hit 700 million, the President plans to shut the border down.  No more will be allowed in – at least until after the election.”
By January, kiosks will open up in Big Bend National Park in Texas allowing people from all across the world to scan their identity documents from their country of origin and just… get busy in America!
The idea has sparked strong opposition from Republicans and even some Democrats.  ”This is insanity!  How can he open the border?  What about terrorism?  Have they gone mad?” said an aide to Speaker of the House John Boehner.
“Republicans are just racists. They only want white people in America,” said a top Democratic consultant.  ”They are going to alienate the new citizens who will be making the long journey to our country.  They need to open their hearts more.”
Canadians were upset that the original plan called for the Feds open the southern U.S. border only.  ”The Canadians whined and complained incessantly.  But since there’s only 34 million Canadians on the planet, the Administration decided to open the northern border as well,” said a source outside the White House.  ”Most Canadians live within 90 miles of the U.S. anyway, so they practically are Americans already.”
There are rumors that the President might go to Texas to open the first border checkpoint personally.  ”It’s going to be a great day for America.  The President wants to open the gates personally.”
Get ready for a flood of new Americans!

An Open Message to Police & Military

Beware of Those Bearing Gifts

The insanity knows no bounds, and the police-state has come full-circle around the Constitution. Police are now stopping people for obeying the law.

PROSPER, Texas — In the bucolic town of Prosper (Texas), police officers are using positive reinforcement to encourage safe driving, particularly in school zones during drop-off and pick-up time. Drivers who demonstrate safe driving — appropriate speed into and out of the school zone, proper use of a turn signal, and having children secured in their safety seats, for just a few examples — are being stopped and ‘cited’ with gift cards.

PoliceOne.Com

Before we even get to the video, the first thing that pops into my mind is "who the heck is paying for these gift cards?" Now prosper Texas might have enough taxpayers doing well enough to not care that police are re-appropriating funds for random ass kissing, but in the rest of the country there is a recession on. If this idea came to my town, I would be livid that they are taking money from me in taxes, and then handing it out to soccer moms for wearing their seatbelt.

While your initial reaction might be "oh, that's nice of them," don't be fooled. This is a Trojan horse and a psyop for the police to measure public resistance to a blatant violation of the Fourth Amendment. Without probable cause, at the very least, that a crime has occurred police do not have the right to stop you. But how does the public react when the police violate their most basic, fundamental rights as an American...?

"It's really awesome. Nyuck nyuck! Made my day. Nyuck nyuck!" -Caitlin Woody, Driver

Just because they are handing out gift cards does not change the fact that what they are doing is the legal equivalent of stopping you for no reason at all on the way to the mall and tearing your car apart looking for drugs. In fact, let us look at the legal implications of such a "community relations" stop.

Let us pretend for a moment that an officer has stopped a vehicle with the intent of handing out a gift card, but then smells alcohol on the person's breath. He then conducts a field sobriety check and a subsequent search of the vehicle which turns up an illegal firearm and some drugs. Now, at that point the officer can either lie and say that he had probable cause, or the entire case and all of the charges will be thrown out in court because the officer failed to establish probable cause to make the stop.

Now some folks might then say "oh it's just a little white lie, for the greater good." But where do we draw the line? A cop who lies about probable cause can just as easily lie about planting drugs in your car when he is bucking for that big promotion. Think that stuff doesn't happen? Think again. And it isn't just "thugs" who wind up with their rights violated folks, it is also soccer moms in grocery-go-getters like Caitlin Woody.

It is disconcerting how easily the public falls for such propaganda, but what I find most alarming is the willingness of these officers to violate their oath to the Constitution. The general public tends to be distracted, even ignorant when it comes to taking up these issues. The people who we trust to "do the right thing" though, those people, those officers know better. They know full well that what they are doing is a violation of their oath to uphold the Constitution. They might justify it to themselves in one way or another, but every last one of them knows full well what they are doing, and are responsible for their actions.

50 Economic Facts to Remember 2011

50 Economic Numbers From 2011 That Are Almost Too Crazy To Believe

#1 A staggering 48 percent of all Americans are either considered to be "low income" or are living in poverty.

#2 Approximately 57 percent of all children in the United States are living in homes that are either considered to be "low income" or impoverished.

#3 If the number of Americans that "wanted jobs" was the same today as it was back in 2007, the "official" unemployment rate put out by the U.S. government would be up to 11 percent.

#4 The average amount of time that a worker stays unemployed in the United States is now over 40 weeks.

#5 One recent survey found that 77 percent of all U.S. small businesses do not plan to hire any more workers.

#6 There are fewer payroll jobs in the United States today than there were back in 2000 even though we have added 30 million extra people to the population since then.

#7 Since December 2007, median household income in the United States has declined by a total of 6.8% once you account for inflation.

#8 According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 16.6 million Americans were self-employed back in December 2006.  Today, that number has shrunk to 14.5 million.

#9 A Gallup poll from earlier this year found that approximately one out of every five Americans that do have a job consider themselves to be underemployed.

#10 According to author Paul Osterman, about 20 percent of all U.S. adults are currently working jobs that pay poverty-level wages.

#11 Back in 1980, less than 30% of all jobs in the United States were low income jobs.  Today, more than 40% of all jobs in the United States are low income jobs.

#12 Back in 1969, 95 percent of all men between the ages of 25 and 54 had a job.  In July, only 81.2 percent of men in that age group had a job.

#13 One recent survey found that one out of every three Americans would not be able to make a mortgage or rent payment next month if they suddenly lost their current job.

#14 The Federal Reserve recently announced that the total net worth of U.S. households declined by 4.1 percent in the 3rd quarter of 2011 alone.

#15 According to a recent study conducted by the BlackRock Investment Institute, the ratio of household debt to personal income in the United States is now 154 percent.

#16 As the economy has slowed down, so has the number of marriages.  According to a Pew Research Center analysis, only 51 percent of all Americans that are at least 18 years old are currently married.  Back in 1960, 72 percent of all U.S. adults were married.

#17 The U.S. Postal Service has lost more than 5 billion dollars over the past year.

#18 In Stockton, California home prices have declined 64 percent from where they were at when the housing market peaked.

#19 Nevada has had the highest foreclosure rate in the nation for 59 months in a row.

#20 If you can believe it, the median price of a home in Detroit is now just $6000.

#21 According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 18 percent of all homes in the state of Florida are sitting vacant.  That figure is 63 percent larger than it was just ten years ago.

#22 New home construction in the United States is on pace to set a brand new all-time record low in 2011.

#23 As I have written about previously, 19 percent of all American men between the ages of 25 and 34 are now living with their parents.

#24 Electricity bills in the United States have risen faster than the overall rate of inflation for five years in a row.

#25 According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, health care costs accounted for just 9.5% of all personal consumption back in 1980.  Today they account for approximately 16.3%.

#26 One study found that approximately 41 percent of all working age Americans either have medical bill problems or are currently paying off medical debt.

#27 If you can believe it, one out of every seven Americans has at least 10 credit cards.

#28 The United States spends about 4 dollars on goods and services from China for every one dollar that China spends on goods and services from the United States.

#29 It is being projected that the U.S. trade deficit for 2011 will be 558.2 billion dollars.

#30 The retirement crisis in the United States just continues to get worse.  According to the Employee Benefit Research Institute, 46 percent of all American workers have less than $10,000 saved for retirement, and 29 percent of all American workers have less than $1,000 saved for retirement.

#31 Today, one out of every six elderly Americans lives below the federal poverty line.

#32 According to a study that was just released, CEO pay at America's biggest companies rose by 36.5% in just one recent 12 month period.

#33 Today, the "too big to fail" banks are larger than ever.  The total assets of the six largest U.S. banks increased by 39 percent between September 30, 2006 and September 30, 2011.

#34 The six heirs of Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton have a net worth that is roughly equal to the bottom 30 percent of all Americans combined.

#35 According to an analysis of Census Bureau data done by the Pew Research Center, the median net worth for households led by someone 65 years of age or older is 47 times greater than the median net worth for households led by someone under the age of 35.

#36 If you can believe it, 37 percent of all U.S. households that are led by someone under the age of 35 have a net worth of zero or less than zero.

#37 A higher percentage of Americans is living in extreme poverty (6.7%) than has ever been measured before.

#38 Child homelessness in the United States is now 33 percent higher than it was back in 2007.

#39 Since 2007, the number of children living in poverty in the state of California has increased by 30 percent.

#40 Sadly, child poverty is absolutely exploding all over America.  According to the National Center for Children in Poverty, 36.4% of all children that live in Philadelphia are living in poverty, 40.1% of all children that live in Atlanta are living in poverty, 52.6% of all children that live in Cleveland are living in poverty and 53.6% of all children that live in Detroit are living in poverty.

#41 Today, one out of every seven Americans is on food stamps and one out of every four American children is on food stamps.

#42 In 1980, government transfer payments accounted for just 11.7% of all income.  Today, government transfer payments account for more than 18 percent of all income.

#43 A staggering 48.5% of all Americans live in a household that receives some form of government benefits.  Back in 1983, that number was below 30 percent.

#44 Right now, spending by the federal government accounts for about 24 percent of GDP.  Back in 2001, it accounted for just 18 percent.

#45 For fiscal year 2011, the U.S. federal government had a budget deficit of nearly 1.3 trillion dollars.  That was the third year in a row that our budget deficit has topped one trillion dollars.

#46 If Bill Gates gave every single penny of his fortune to the U.S. government, it would only cover the U.S. budget deficit for about 15 days.

#47 Amazingly, the U.S. government has now accumulated a total debt of 15 trillion dollars.  When Barack Obama first took office the national debt was just 10.6 trillion dollars.

#48 If the federal government began right at this moment to repay the U.S. national debt at a rate of one dollar per second, it would take over 440,000 years to pay off the national debt.

#49 The U.S. national debt has been increasing by an average of more than 4 billion dollars per day since the beginning of the Obama administration.

#50 During the Obama administration, the U.S. government has accumulated more debt than it did from the time that George Washington took office to the time that Bill Clinton took office.

Oklahoma City Bombing Used FBI Explosives

There have been a number of cases to hit the mainstream media in recent years, of terror plots here in the United States that were supposedly foiled by the "diligent" efforts of the FBI and other law-enforcement. Each time though, it seems as if the plots were flimsy, the would-be terrorists incompetent, and the entire scheme orchestrated by the FBI rather than the alleged terrorists.

Often when I read these stories on the news, I can't help but feel like the FBI simply went out and recruited some jaded but otherwise harmless buffoons to take the fall in yet another headline-grabbing case in order to justify their own budgets, the ongoing war on terror, and generally as a propaganda tool to keep the American public on edge. To sell fear.

But aside from the ethical standpoint of wasting tax dollars to create crime where there is none, and sending otherwise innocent people to prison to make themselves look good, there is good reason for law-enforcement to stay well away from the line between undercover work and entrapment. That is, between investigating a criminal enterprise, and becoming the criminals themselves. Perhaps no better example could be made, than by this bombshell report from the American Free Press:

Attorney General Holder Tied to OKC Bombers

Eric Holder, current attorney general of the United States, managed an FBI operation that provided explosives to Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols just prior to the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995, according to official documents released during the ongoing investigation into government foreknowledge of the supposed terrorist attack.

According to the documentation provided in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit brought against the Department of Justice by Salt Lake City attorney Jesse Trentadue, the Oklahoma City bombing had aspects of being an FBI sting operation that went out of control. Holder had authorized the FBI to provide explosives to Nichols and McVeigh, then lost track of both the explosives and their targets. McVeigh went on to detonate some of the explosives outside the federal building, an act that was designed to help anti-terrorism legislation pass Congress. But an additional case of explosives was unaccounted for.

After the bombing, when the FBI learned the location of the explosives, Holder reportedly sent emails to FBI agents ordering them to recover the explosives before they could be found by some other branch of the government. FBI agents failed to spot the additional, unexploded explosives during an initial search of Nichols’s home and offered to spare him the death penalty if he would help them recover them.

The case of explosives was, however, recovered by another law enforcement agency and was later determined to have the incriminating fingerprints of two FBI agents, as well as fingerprints of McVeigh and Nichols.

Shortly after the bombing, Kenneth Trentadue, a government informant, was murdered in his prison cell. His family has been pursuing legal action against the federal government ever since.

In 2001, in a bid to avoid a full release of documents, the Federal Bureau of Prisons paid a settlement of $1.1 million to several members of Trentadue’s family, but his brother refused to drop the investigation and filed a FOIA lawsuit for the missing documents. That suit has been ongoing in the Salt Lake City federal courthouse.

So it seems that at the very least, the FBI provided material support to domestic terrorists. And not just material support, that they provided the actual bomb which was detonated in the largest terror attack America has ever known outside of 9/11. It really doesn't make any difference what reasons they had, or that they might claim that they were simply outwitted by McVeigh and Nichols. At the very least, this is the perfect example of why the FBI (and other law-enforcement) should not be in the business engaging in plots with domestic terrorists. Why would the FBI even take such a risk? To let the plot unfold far enough in order to secure a lengthy prison sentence? To reel in the big fish so to speak? I don't know about you, but I would much rather have seen McVeigh and Nichols brought in on some minor charges that would have only stuck them in prison for a few years, but would have also disrupted their scheme entirely and forever marked them as persons of interest to law enforcement. So did Eric Holder let all those people die gambling for a promotion? It certainly seems that may be true, or even the best-case scenario, given this new information.

A more sinister realization is that the entire attack may in fact have been a conspiracy entirely manufactured by our own government. A false-flag attack. That theory has more merit than most people would care to admit. In his book Others Unknown, Tim McVeigh's attorney goes into substantial detail about why he was convinced that there was a larger conspiracy surrounding the Oklahoma City Bombing, though he stops short of naming names or endorsing any one particular conspiracy theory. Nonetheless, he makes a compelling case that McVeigh actually played a small role in a much larger conspiracy, and was not the mastermind he has been made out to be.

There are many discrepancies in the case and the official account of what happened. Again though, the most chilling discoveries come when we are faced with evidence which shows that our own government is not only involved in the coverup of information (for "national security" reasons they would tell us) but that they actively participated in carrying out this plot to bomb the Murrah building. And that evidence goes well beyond this revelation that the FBI actually gave McVeigh and Nichols the explosives. The government's complicity appears to even go beyond that. Take this photo, for example:

That image is taken from several snapped by an aircraft pilot flying over an Army Camp just outside of Oklahoma City just days before the bombing. It begs the question, what would the Army be doing with a Ryder truck hidden behind a series of screens in a secure area? (See more pictures of the area here.) One might be able to chalk it up to a stunning coincidence, if it were not for the fact that there are other discrepancies regarding the story of the Ryder truck and McVeigh.

You can read more about the questions which have been raised and never answered regarding the Oklahoma City bombing by visiting WhatReallyHappened.com among other material on the topic available across the web. But be warned, the government does not like people snooping around in their dirty laundry. People who have investigated the OKC bombing have been labeled terrorists at government Fusion Centers.

And finally, you can check out attorney Jesse Trentadue speaking with Alex Jones on Infowars.com.

Heating Funds for Poor Get Cut as Trillion-Dollar Budget Gets Passed

The government just passed a TRILLION-dollar budget, but there is no money for the poor, many of whom will die as a result. Meanwhile oil companies continue to post tax-free record profits and fuel prices continue to climb as the cold weather settles in just in time for the holidays.

Northeast states cut heating aid to poor

Mary Power is 92 and worried about surviving another frigid New England winter because deep cuts in federal home heating assistance benefits mean she probably can’t afford enough heating oil to stay warm.

She lives in a drafty trailer in Boston’s West Roxbury neighborhood and gets by on $11,148 a year in pension and Social Security benefits. Her heating aid help this year will drop from $1,035 to $685. With rising heating oil prices, it probably will cost her more than $3,000 for enough oil to keep warm unless she turns her thermostat down to 60 degrees, as she plans.

“I will just have to crawl into bed with the covers over me and stay there,’’ said Power, a widow who worked as a cashier and waitress until she was 80. “I will do what I have to do.’’

Thousands of poor people across the Northeast are bracing for a difficult winter with substantially less home heating aid coming from the federal government.

“They’re playing Russian roulette with people’s lives,’’ said John Drew, who heads Action for Boston Community Development, Inc., which provides aid to low-income residents in Massachusetts.

Herd Mentality

I was recently debating my pet hot-button issue of the month, drug testing of welfare recipients. My opponent made the logically-void argument that their position was correct, because nearly 3 million people have voted in favor of drug testing the poor, while I voted in the minority of less than 150,000 people who are against the drug testing laws. I have seen this same sort of argument made many times, over various issues, that that the majority is always right. This same mentality is why our Constitution has been reduced to nothing more than a scrap of paper. After all, the Constitution is there to protect ideas that are not popular. Popular ideas don't need to be protected. But let me stop myself there before I go off on a little rant about the lessons of logic and liberty, and instead show you this clear example, that even the most simple-minded among the sheeple might grasp the lesson of...

DNA Hackers Will Exploit You as Easily as Your PC

From the "freaky files" of our probable not-too-distant future comes the following article. If people realized what power their DNA holds, particularly in the hands of someone who might not be looking out for your best interests, society would be taking things a lot more seriously when it comes to things like DNA testing and other collections of biological sampling. Would you trust a cop in a random traffic stop enough to hand over your bank account password to them? Probably not, but this is by far a lot worse. Not even because of potential abuses by the powers-that-be. But because of the risk that your DNA data might wind up in the hands of criminals and terrorists.

DNA Hackers: Synthetic biology weaponized virus, zero-day exploit to infect your brain?

From the let's get futuristically freaky department, future hacking crimes could take a decidedly sinister twist; not hacking to breach systems but brains, bodies and behaviors. This DNA hacking goes way beyond potentially using police bees to bust biohackers, or even storing unhackable data in box of bio-encrypted bacteria. It's not science fiction to hack insulin pumps or to use jamming signals to stop hackers from lethal pacemaker attacks, but now bioengineers and security futurists are warning that the day is coming when criminals and bioterrorists hunt for vulnerabilities that will give a new meaning to zero-day exploits. In the future, a weaponized virus will aim to infect you, your brain and body biology, and not just your computer or mobile device.

While some people resist the idea of needing antivirus or other security software defenses for their smartphones, in the world of synthetic biology, a world where bits, bytes, atoms and biology mix dreams with nightmare realities, it could be lethal to lag behind in patching potential vulnerabilities. Some day, when you hear about something going 'viral,' it will not apply to an idea or video but to a DNA hack going viral to infect the masses. When a computer is infected with malware or a virus, you can reformat a hard drive, but will a future security scenario include needing to worry about BSOD and reformatting your brain?

False Allegations of Domestic Violence, Why You Should be Concerned

Why Should Persons be Concerned about False Allegations of Domestic Violence?

Approximately two million Americans experience intimate partner violence each year(1). These persons need counseling services, legal assistance, shelter resources, and protection by the criminal justice system.

Unfortunately, each year 2-3 million restraining orders are issued in the United States (2), of which as many as 80% are unnecessary or false (3). As Elaine Epstein, former president of the Massachusetts Bar Association, revealed,
Everyone knows that restraining orders and orders to vacate are granted to virtually all who apply…In many cases, allegations of abuse are now used for tactical advantage. (4)

False accusers not only divert resources away from the true victims of domestic violence, they render harm to the targets of their legal abuse. False allegations stain a person’s reputation, deplete that person’s assets, and can ruin a person’s career. They may deprive a child of parental love and attention which every child needs.

Kristin Ruggiero registered a disposable cell phone under her ex-husband’s name and sent herself a dozen threatening messages that portrayed her ex as an unrelenting batterer. During Ruggiero’s sentencing to serve 7-14 years in prison, Judge McHugh commented, “As a result of her actions, [other victims’] cases, their safety, their security has been damaged. The web for this is much greater than what has just happened to Mr. Ruggiero.”

You Don't Have to Have Physical Contact to Arrest for Assault, Former DC Detective

I might stop back later to pull this video apart piece by piece, but I think I am just going to go throw up for now. The blatant propaganda here is surreal, and downright dangerous to your physical health. How long before someone shoots someone else because they saw this idiot cop kiss Bill O'Really's ass so hard that he actually states that people "need to be dealt with" if they walk toward you.

Here's a more impartial report on the matter...

Just for the record, I am a firm believer in the right to bear arms, but damn, good thing O'Really didn't have a piece.

      Controversial Police Chief Resigns

Town of Hyde Park, NY Police Chief Charles Broe will resign from his post, effective December 23.

Broe began his stint with the department under a cloud, as an unpopular political appointment. He replaced the acting chief, a well-liked long-time department veteran who was pushed aside amid unsavory political wrangling. Through his brief career with the town, Broe had the staunch support of Town Supervisor Tom Martino, who himself became so unpopular with the town that his political party failed to endorse him for a second term election run. To many townspeople, it comes as no surprise that Broe will be leaving just days before Martino's term expires.

But it was not his strong ties to the unpopular town supervisor alone that cast a shadow over the police chief. His bumbling leadership amid the high profile homicide case of teen gymnast Katie Filiberti, embroiled himself and the department in a scandalous controversy that still divides the town to this day. There are still strong suspicions which linger too, as the people of the town and surrounding communities await the start of a murder trial in that case.

The Poughkeepsie Journal has removed their story about Broe's resignation for unknown reasons, but still left this interview available to share through an embedding code at their website.

Drug Testing For Lawmakers Proposed in Ga.

Democratic Georgia state Rep. Scott Holcomb has introduced legislation to the General Assembly that would require lawmakers to pass a drug test before taking office.

The usual bill was filed last week in response to a proposal to drug test welfare applicants, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“This bill is really very simple,” Holcomb said in a statement. “If the General Assembly is going to pass laws requiring struggling, jobless Georgians to pay for drug tests as a precondition to receiving state benefits, then members of the General Assembly should lead by example and take the tests first.”

Random tests would also be mandated by the bill, which lawmakers would be required to pay for with their personal funds.

Following the example set by Florida and Missouri, Georgia state Sen. John Albers (R) introduced a bill that would require all applicants of the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) welfare program to pass a drug test.

      Get full article here: http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/12/07/georgia-lawmaker-proposes-legislative-drug-testing-bill/

Being an advocate for the poor it would be easy for me to say "yeah! Test them too!" But two wrongs don't make it right. There are many people who would vote no to this, but yes to testing the poor, because they are biased and resent the poor, are fearful of the poor, and hold numerous stereotypes as fact. But I am no hypocrite myself. I do not support this proposal for many of the same reasons that I do not support drug testing of welfare recipients.

You can read more about that here:

Why Drug Testing of Welfare Recipients is a Bad Idea

      Foodstamp Chart

It's important to keep in mind here, that this does not represent a sudden spike in the number of people who just decided that they would rather not work, and chose to get government assistance instead. This chart represents a huge surge in the number of Americans who cannot afford to buy food, even though they may actually still be working, if they are lucky enough to have a job. The maximum benefit for foodstamps is $200 a month, at a time when food prices are also going through the roof. $46 dollars a week is not easy at all to get by on, and it gets more difficult each month. It is also important to keep in mind here that it is not "easy" to get foodstamps. You must qualify, by proving that you meet the government designated criteria which shows you cannot afford to eat. There are plenty of people who still earn too much to qualify but are actually at risk for serious malnutrition, because of the strict standard set to qualify. And lastly, consider that foodstamps was never designed to be a primary food source, but a supplement. Nonetheless, most people who use foodstamps today rely on this subsidy as their primary source of nutrition for themselves and their family.

      World's Most Expensive Pileup?

Maybe so. This 14-car pileup in Japan included among the casualties, two Mercedes, eight Ferarris, and a Lambo. No one was seriously injured. All of the cars were in one place because they were a car club on their way to tour nearby Hiroshima. The pileup is believed to have been caused when one Ferrari tried to pass, hit a guardrail, and spun out of control.

Domestic Violence Death Creates Another Stir in Hyde Park, NY

According to reports, a town man shot and killed himself with a shotgun at approximately 9 p.m. Saturday night. Reports indicate that the man and his wife struggled with a pistol-gripped shotgun in the moments before police arrived, and that when she fled, he turned the gun on himself. Police drew their weapons on the subject, after being let in by a young child. Two young children and the man's wife were present at the time of the reported suicide. Two older children were not at home.

This incident is yet another in a string of unusual violent deaths in the region. And yet again, we are suddenly met with odd circumstances surrounding the reporting and investigation of the incident.

After posting a headline article, the Poughkeepsie Journal has pulled their story, without explanation. One headline read, "Police: Man shoots self following domestic incident" and the other, "POLICE: MAN SHOOTS SELF IN THE HEAD, CHILDREN PRESENT." Both articles have been pulled. See for yourself here...

30 Signs That the USA is a Prison

30 Signs That The United States Of America Is Being Turned Into A Giant Prison

#1 A new bill that is going through the U.S. Senate would allow the U.S. military to arrest American citizens and hold them indefinitely without trial.  This new law was recently discussed in an article posted on the website of the New American….
In what may be a tale too bizarre to be believed by millions of Americans, the U.S. Senate appears ready to pass a bill that will designate the entire earth, including the United States and its territories, one all-encompassing “battlefield” in the global “war on terror” and authorize the detention of Americans suspected of terrorist ties indefinitely and without trial or even charges being filed that would necessitate a trial.
U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham is a big supporter of the bill, and he says that it would “basically say in law for the first time that the homeland is part of the battlefield”.
According to the PPJ Gazette, the following are three things that this new law would do….
      1)  Explicitly authorize the federal government to indefinitely imprison without charge or trial American citizens and others picked up inside and outside the United States;
      (2)  Mandate military detention of some civilians who would otherwise be outside of military control, including civilians picked up within the United States itself; and
      (3)  Transfer to the Department of Defense core prosecutorial, investigative, law enforcement, penal, and custodial authority and responsibility now held by the Department of Justice.
#2 U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman is asking Google to install a “terrorist button” on all Blogger.com blogs so that readers can easily flag “terrorist content” for authorities.

#3 Most Americans have no idea how sophisticated the “Big Brother” prison grid has become.  For example, in Washington D.C. the movements of every single car are tracked using automated license plate readers (ALPRs).  The following comes from a recent Washington Post article….
More than 250 cameras in the District and its suburbs scan license plates in real time, helping police pinpoint stolen cars and fleeing killers. But the program quietly has expanded beyond what anyone had imagined even a few years ago.
With virtually no public debate, police agencies have begun storing the information from the cameras, building databases that document the travels of millions of vehicles.
Nowhere is that more prevalent than in the District, which has more than one plate-reader per square mile, the highest concentration in the nation. Police in the Washington suburbs have dozens of them as well, and local agencies plan to add many more in coming months, creating a comprehensive dragnet that will include all the approaches into the District.
#4 In some American schools, RFID chips are now being used to monitor the attendance and movements of children while they are at school.  The following is how one article recently described a program that has just been instituted at a preschool in California….
Upon arriving in the morning, according to the Associated Press, each student at the CCC-George Miller preschool will don a jersey with a stitched in RFID chip. As the kids go about the business of learning, sensors in the school will record their movements, collecting attendance for both classes and meals. Officials from the school have claimed they’re only recording information they’re required to provide while receiving  federal funds for their Headstart program.
#5 Increasingly, incidents of misbehavior at many U.S. schools are being treated as very serious crimes.  For example, when a little girl kissed a little boy at one Florida elementary school recently, it was considered to be a “possible sex crime” and the police were called out.
#6 But what happened to one very young student in Stockton, California earlier this year was even worse….
Earlier this year, a Stockton student was handcuffed with zip ties on his hands and feet, forced to go to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and was charged with battery on a police officer. That student was 5 years old.
#7 In the United States today, police are trained to respond to even the smallest crimes with extreme physical force.  For example, one grandfather in Arizona was recently filmed laying unconscious in a pool of his own blood after police rammed his head into the flood inside a Wal-Mart on Black Friday night.  It was thought that he was shoplifting, but it turns out that he says that he was just trying to tuck a video game away so other crazed shoppers would not grab it out of his hands.

#8 Did you know that the government actually sets up fake cell phone towers that can intercept your cell phone calls?  The following is how a recent Wired articledescribed these “stingrays”….
You make a call on your cellphone thinking the only thing standing between you and the recipient of your call is your carrier’s cellphone tower. In fact, that tower your phone is connecting to just might be a boobytrap set up by law enforcement to ensnare your phone signals and maybe even the content of your calls.
So-called stingrays are one of the new high-tech tools that authorities are using to track and identify you. The devices, about the size of a suitcase, spoof a legitimate cellphone tower in order to trick nearby cellphones and other wireless communication devices into connecting to the tower, as they would to a real cellphone tower.
The government maintains that the stingrays don’t violate Fourth Amendment rights, since Americans don’t have a legitimate expectation of privacy for data sent from their mobile phones and other wireless devices to a cell tower.
#9 U.S. border agents are allowed by law to search any laptop being brought into the United States without even needing any reason to do so.

#10 In the United States of America, everyone is a “potential terrorist”.  According to FBI Director Robert Mueller, “homegrown terrorists” represent as big a threat to American national security as al-Qaeda does.

#11 Most Americans are not that concerned about the Patriot Act, but that might change if they understood that the federal government has a “secret interpretation” of what the Patriot Act really means.  U.S. Senator Ron Wyden says that the U.S. government interprets the Patriot Act much more “broadly” than the general public does….
“We’re getting to a gap between what the public thinks the law says and what the American government secretly thinks the law says.”
#12 The FBI is now admittedly recording Internet talk radio programs all over the United States.  The following comes from a recent article by Mark Weaver of WMAL.com….
If you call a radio talk show and get on the air, you might be recorded by the FBI.
The FBI has awarded a $524,927 contract to a Virginia company to record as much radio news and talk programming as it can find on the Internet.
The FBI says it is not playing big brother by policing the airwaves, but rather seeking access to what airs as potential evidence.
#13 The federal government has decided that what you and I share with one another on Facebook and on Twitter could be a threat to national security.  According to a recent Associated Press article, the Department of Homeland Security will soon be “gleaning information from sites such as Twitter and Facebook for law enforcement purposes”.

#14 What you say on your cell phone is never private.  The truth is that that the FBI can demand to see your cell phone data whenever it wants.  In addition, according to CNET News the FBI can remotely activate the microphone on your cell phone and listen to whatever you are saying….
The FBI appears to have begun using a novel form of electronic surveillance in criminal investigations: remotely activating a mobile phone’s microphone and using it to eavesdrop on nearby conversations.
The technique is called a “roving bug,” and was approved by top U.S. Department of Justice officials for use against members of a New York organized crime family who were wary of conventional surveillance techniques such as tailing a suspect or wiretapping him.
#15 In some areas of the country, law enforcement authorities are pulling data out of cell phones for no reason whatsoever.  According to the ACLU, state police in Michigan are now using “extraction devices” to download data from the cell phones of motorists that they pull over.  This is taking place even if the motorists that are pulled over are not accused of doing anything wrong.
The following is how a recent article on CNET News described the capabilities of these “extraction devices”….
The devices, sold by a company called Cellebrite, can download text messages, photos, video, and even GPS data from most brands of cell phones. The handheld machines have various interfaces to work with different models and can even bypass security passwords and access some information.
#16 The federal government has become so paranoid that they have been putting GPS tracking devices on the vehicles of thousands of people that have not even been charged with committing any crimes.  The following is a short excerpt from a recent Wired magazine article about this issue….
The 25-year-old resident of San Jose, California, says he found the first one about three weeks ago on his Volvo SUV while visiting his mother in Modesto, about 80 miles northeast of San Jose. After contacting Wired and allowing a photographer to snap pictures of the device, it was swapped out and replaced with a second tracking device. A witness also reported seeing a strange man looking beneath the vehicle of the young man’s girlfriend while her car was parked at work, suggesting that a tracking device may have been retrieved from her car.
Then things got really weird when police showed up during a Wired interview with the man.
The young man, who asked to be identified only as Greg, is one among an increasing number of U.S. citizens who are finding themselves tracked with the high-tech devices.
The Justice Department has said that law enforcement agents employ GPS as a crime-fighting tool with “great frequency,”and GPS retailers have told Wired that they’ve sold thousands of the devices to the feds.
#17 New high-tech street lights that are being funded by the federal government and that are being installed all over the nation can also be used as surveillance cameras, can be used by the DHS to make “security announcements” and can even be used to record personal conversations.  The following is from a recent article by Paul Joseph Watson for Infowars.com….
Federally-funded high-tech street lights now being installed in American cities are not only set to aid the DHS in making “security announcements” and acting as talking surveillance cameras, they are also capable of “recording conversations,” bringing the potential privacy threat posed by ‘Intellistreets’ to a whole new level.
#18 If you choose to protest in the streets of America today, there is a good chance that you will be brutalized.  All over the United States law enforcement authorities have been spraying pepper spray directly into the faces of unarmed protesters in recent weeks.

#19 In many areas of the United States today, you will be arrested if you do not produce proper identification for the police.  In the old days, “your papers please” was a phrase that was used to use to mock the tyranny of Nazi Germany.  But now all of us are being required to be able to produce “our papers” for law enforcement authorities at any time.  For example, a 21-year-old college student named Samantha Zucker was recently arrested and put in a New York City jail for 36 hours just because she could not produce any identification for police.

#20 According to blogger Alexander Higgins, students in kindergarten and the 1st grade in the state of New Jersey are now required by law to participate “in monthly anti-terrorism drills”.  The following is an excerpt from a letter that he recently received from the school where his child attends….
Each month a school must conduct one fire drill and one security drill which may be a lockdown, bomb threat, evacuation, active shooter, or shelter-in place drill. All schools are now required by law to implement this procedure.
So who in the world ever decided that it would be a good idea for 1st grade students to endure “lockdown” and “active shooter” drills?

To get an idea of what these kinds of drills are like, just check out this video.

#21 With all of the other problems that we are having all over the nation, you would think that authorities would not be too concerned about little kids that are trying to sell cups of lemonade.  But sadly, over the past year police have been sent in to shut down lemonade stands run by children all over the United States.

#22 The federal government has decided to invest a significant amount of time, money and energy raiding organic farms.  The following example comes from Natural News….
It is the latest case of extreme government food tyranny, and one that is sure to have you reeling in anger and disgust. Health department officials recently conducted a raid of Quail Hollow Farm, an organic community supported agriculture (CSA) farm in southern Nevada, during its special “farm to fork” picnic dinner put on for guests — and the agent who arrived on the scene ordered that all the fresh, local produce and pasture-based meat that was intended for the meal be destroyed with bleach.
#23 It is an absolute disgrace that all of us (including grandmothers and young children) must either go through body scanners that reveal the intimate details of our naked bodies or endure “enhanced pat-downs” during which our genitals will be touched before we are allowed to get on an airplane.

It is also an absolute disgrace that the American people are putting up with this.

#24 Invasive TSA security techniques are not just for airports anymore.  Now, TSA “VIPR teams” are actively conducting random inspections at bus stations and on interstate highways all over the United States.  For example, the following comes from a local news report down in Tennessee….
You’re probably used to seeing TSA’s signature blue uniforms at the airport, but now agents are hitting the interstates to fight terrorism with Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR).
“Where is a terrorist more apt to be found? Not these days on an airplane more likely on the interstate,” said Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security Commissioner Bill Gibbons.
Tuesday Tennessee was first to deploy VIPR simultaneously at five weigh stations and two bus stations across the state.
TSA “VIPR teams” now conduct approximately 8,000 “unannounced security screenings” a year at subway stations, bus terminals, ports and highway rest stops.

#25 More than a million hotel television sets all over America are now broadcasting propaganda messages from the Department of Homeland Security promoting the “See Something, Say Something” campaign.  In essence, the federal government wants all of us to become “informants” and to start spying on one another constantly.  The following comes from an article posted by USA Today….
Starting today, the welcome screens on 1.2 million hotel television sets in Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn and other hotels in the USA will show a short public service announcement from DHS. The 15-second spot encourages viewers to be vigilant and call law enforcement if they witness something suspicious during their travels.
#26 Certain “types” of American citizens are being labeled as potential threats in official U.S. government documents.  An unclassified Department of Homeland Security report published a couple years ago entitled “Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” claims that a belief in Bible prophecy “could motivate extremist individuals and groups to stockpile food, ammunition and weapons.”  The report goes on to state that such people are potentially dangerous.

#27 Back on February 20, 2009, the State of Missouri issued a report entitled “MIAC Strategic Report: The Modern Militia Movement“.  That report warned that the following types of people may be potential terrorists….
      *anti-abortion activists
*those that are against illegal immigration
*those that consider “the New World Order” to be a threat
*those that have a negative view of the United Nations

#28 As I have written about previously, a very disturbing document that Oath Keepers has obtained shows that the FBI is now instructing store owners to report many new forms of “suspicious activity” to them.  According to the document, “suspicious activity” now includes the following….
      *paying with cash
      *missing a hand or fingers
      *”strange odors”
      *making “extreme religious statements”
      *”radical theology”
*purchasing weatherproofed ammunition or match containers
      *purchasing meals ready to eat
*purchasing night vision devices, night flashlights or gas masks
Do any of those “signs of suspicious activity” apply to you?

#29 Soon you may get labeled as a “potential terrorist” if you are just feeling a little nervous.  A new “pre-crime” technology system that is currently being tested by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will soon be in use all over the nation.  It is called “Future Attribute Screening Technology” (FAST), and it is very frightening.  The following description of this new program comes from an articlein the London Telegraph….
Using cameras and sensors the “pre-crime” system measures and tracks changes in a person’s body movements, the pitch of their voice and the rhythm of their speech.
It also monitors breathing patterns, eye movements, blink rate and alterations in body heat, which are used to assess an individual’s likelihood to commit a crime.
The Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST) programme is already being tested on a group of government employees who volunteered to act as guinea pigs.
#30 The truth is that nobody puts more people into prison than America does.  The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world and thelargest total prison population on the entire globe.
To read about some of the crazy things that the control freaks running things have planned for the future, just check out this article by Natural News: “10 outlandish things the ‘scientific’ controllers have in mind for you in the near future“.
