Man in pink women's shoes holds up shoe store

Town of Newburgh police say the man, Robert Figueroa, 47, stole cash Saturday morning from a Payless Shoes store on Route 17K, a class-D felony. Police said Figueroa bought a pair of pink women’s “wedge” shoes, wore them out of the store and then returned, claiming he had a weapon in his pocket and demanding cash, according to the victim.
